During the month of March, 2007, I visited Morocco. After touring the country, I spent a week in Marrakech. During this time, with sketch book in hand, I visited the old city (medina) and it's souks. I also spent time in the Garden of the late French artist, Majorelle. This comfortable and friendly environment provided an opportunity for me to create original watercolors.
After returning home, I created art based on my memories of this beautiful, North African country. My series, "Revisiting Morocco," was recently featured at the Meridian Museum of Art, located in my home town in Mississippi.
Lovely, interesting art, Denise! I love what you are doing now.
